The Decatur Housing Authority provides and maintains quality affordable housing with access to community resources for low to moderate income families and individuals, including the elderly and disabled, in Macon County. With 478 Public Housing units and 1,123 Housing Choice Vouchers that we oversee, the Decatur Housing Authority is the preeminent provider of affordable housing in our community. In order to assist residents seeking to improve themselves, we currently offer the Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) Program to our Section 8 voucher holders and the Resident Opportunity Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Program to our public housing residents. Our goal is to assist residents in their quest to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
